Sebumeter® is a measuring device to assess skin surface sebum levels.
The measurement is performed via application of a specialized probe composed of a sebum sensitive film on its surface.
Results are expressed in µg/cm² and correspond to the total amount of sebum collected on the film.
Sebutape® is a measurement technique to assess the seborrheic activity of skin pores.
The measurement is performed by applying a patch composed of a transparent film that collects skin surface sebum. Active pores (filled of sebum) block the light and form spots on the film.
The film is analysed by image analysis or visually using a grading scale.
